I’m sure we all have our own idea of what the word journey means. A broad word describing the act of traveling from one place to another. I would like for you to imagine all the different ways you find yourself “journeying”.
I, myself, have several different ways that I journey. Of course, the obvious, I love to take trips and travel to familiar places as well as places I have never been to. I also believe we journey in our nightly dreams. I have been on several journeys in my mind when I am out running. Some of us take short journeys during our brief meditation in church. Others may take longer journeys in their daily meditations. I find myself taking a journey when I am out working in my garden or walking along the beach. Sometimes I take a journey in the middle of the day when I find myself gazing at something that has caught my attention, like the birds at my feeder, or the deer walking in the field. What is so important about all the different journeys we take in our life? Our life is but small tiny particles, filled with complications of twists and turns, of ups and downs, of pain and happiness of decisions and choices. It is important not to ignore any details you collect on these journeys. For each thought, sound, image, and emotion are part of a much greater picture. I believe that each little piece of information we are given on these journeys are like getting a piece to the puzzle of our life. Each piece revealing a little bit more about ourselves. Each piece significant in its own right that will eventually fit in its own perfect place. Throughout these many journeys, we will have collected thousands of pieces to the puzzle of our life. And when we are finally able to put this remarkable puzzle together correctly, we will have created the masterpiece of our life. My love to you all Namaste’ Nancy Lombardo
